Hello. I recently installed windows 7 and some new computer components. I had my quake saved on a usb drive and just copied back after installation. Now i get this weird warnings in quake: Qw clients upp to 2.30 have a timer related bug which is caused by too long uptime. Either reboot your machine or upgrade to qwcl 2.33"
On some servers i even get kicked for "timedemo cheat". I have tried with both ez q 2.0 and 2.1 but get the same errors.
Any suggestions?

A thread like this is useless unless you provide the information about how you solved it. It can benefit other players some day.
Thanks

Well i have a program installad called EPU-6 Engine, a system power saving thing. When i played qw the program set the computer to like "medium power saving". When i instead changed manually and used "high performance setting" the problem was gone. Really weird

Thx for the info! There are indeed a lot of similar programs and even BIOS settings that can create such behavior.

What on earth is 'weird' about that? It makes total sense. What IS weird is how my stuttering issue remain on win7 x64 when I do have EPU set to high performance...
