i don't think 'QW' is trademarked

it probably doesn't matter for something that is given away free and is almost entirely their game & code anyway i doubt id would chase up a trademark infringement unless they were losing money as a result i wonder about 'Enemy Territory: Quake Wars' though. Did they license 'Quake®' ?

the "getting started" tutorial has finally been "completed" and is now in the beta stage (in lack of other words)
any improvements you can come with will be considered (including but not limited to SPELLING ERRORS and HTML ERRORS)

I'm sorry, but fQuake's installer is broken (the error message is 'unable to download mirrors.ini' or something alike).

rc13 changes main mirror to llamah.se since endpoint can't fix their ddos attacks
also, the installer is downloaded from the WEBSITE, and the ini files are ALSO downloaded from the WEBSITE.
dutch translation has been added

I gave an fquake link to a few of my friends. They really liked it, and said q4 should have something like it.
My only suggestion for fquake is that the new high-res weapon models should be included by default if someone is installing the 24bit textures. At the least, there should be a menu option in the installer for it.
Oh, one suggestion for the website. Maybe a few screenshots of quake would be nice. A graphics screenshot, lego screenshot with solid color walls / floors, and maybe a default settings screenshot, just so people know what they can get.
Thanks for putting together fquake.

if the models CRC get added to -ruleset smackdown i'll make them "default" (if chosen), otherwise, i can't. btw i dunno if you noticed these screenshots http://f.nu/fquake/getstarted.html#step4.5 they are small, yes, but they are there i might add some screenshots later on!

rc14 up, it's not really a RC though cause I know some stuff that will need to be fixed before this can be released, but what software gets 14 release candidates anyway? I made the preferences page translatable (it wasn't before), and the mirrors now show DESCRIPTIONS instead of just URLs. German translation was also added... Preferences + Please choose mirror and download location (header + subheader) is not translated in any language yet - this is what needs fixing before release

but what software gets 14 release candidates anyway? Eclipse 3.2 probably will (upto their sixthy RC atm)

Tested it. Here is my feedback 1) it's counter intuitive to use Y/N in the custom install then 1/2 at the questions at the end for yes and no 2) For the custom install, you should provide a default value of Y 3) for the predefined types of installs, a list of what's or what's not installed would be nice at confirmation prompt That's it :p Great job

linux shell script added to website[14:39:53] <@fnu[Empezar]> i havent tried it yet [14:40:03] <@fnu[Empezar]> does every single package have a y/n prompt? [14:40:06] <@fnu[Empezar]> in the custom install [14:40:11] <@fnu[Empezar]> cause there are TONS of packages [14:40:37] <@fnu[Empezar]> yes / no / custom for each CATEGORY would probably better [14:40:52] <@fnu[Empezar]> so if you select yes, everything in that category gets included, and custom = y/n for each package I'm also going to move from f.nu/fquake to fquake.quakeworld.nu (i.e. fquake.qw.nu will not be a redirect anymore)
