I know Zquake and FTE have net-Quake protocol 15 compatibility, ie "nqConnect". As does DarkPlaces supports QuakeWorld protocols. I was just wondering, since ezQuake has nqdemo.c added if there were plans to add nqConnect to 2.2?

I would like that this community use more the issue tracker @ http://qw-dev.net/issues
never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

Probaly it is the reason why it is impossible to launch correctly mods such as hipnotic.
Am I right?

nqconnect is for connecting to NetQuake (not QuakeWorld) servers. There are still some located in NA, and rumor has it there are real people playing there every other week or so.
hipnotic will probably work if you use "set sv_forcenqprogs 1". This will instruct ezQuake to use the progs.dat contained in the hipnotic pak file, so you'll get vanilla hipnotic gameplay (but QW physics).

A few weeks ago I found these sites dedicated to Netquake:
http://quakeone.com/
http://www.quake1.net/servers/
I even gave the German bigfoot server a try and there really were some guys playing. Also, there seems to be a regular scheduled FFA game going (was announced on the forums and on main page). Really, it's a shame, there seem to be quite a lot of talented developers as well as players who really would enrichen the QW scene (if they only wanted to
).

I would like to see that feature because I play both and having a 1-size-fits-all client would be super awesome

Thanks. Hipnotic seems to work correctly.
Ezquake has just too many options. ;-)
Rogue crashes when using plasmagun (twice impulse 8 to select).

thx, just saw that FTE 1.0 has netquake support, will try it.
Darkplaces works but doesn't have ezquake's multiplayer features etc.
