I'm soon gonna move out from my apartment (that currently has 2x 100/100) and that will unfortunately
mean that cuve.se no longer will have a home

The new place will only have ADSL so it's not really possible to host anything there.

I hope you've enjoyed the time they been serving atleast. If any server-admin want's the race-toptimes I can send them,
or if people want the demos from the server I can upload those too as an archive or something.

:/

Hmm, I moved in in my old apartment 2008 where I hosted fog.mine.nu servers/proxy, moved out beginning of 2010. Moved to my current apartment mid 2010 and put up udden.net proxy temporarily on my HTPC, then cuve.se servers. And now im gonna move again..

Well I know people that moves more times than I have, but I'm guessing thats the way it is when you are a student

anni: I will not remove anything from the server, it will just be offline. I'm still gonna have access to everything and also backup the qwserver-dir, so no worries.

I´ve been trying slide7 on another server now and it was the same speed bug. I found out it was a program that camed with my motherboard that did some kind of speed acc thing. Had problem with the program before but not that it affected speed. If its possibole i like my best time removed.

How can a program affect server computed player speed????
I'll remove your high scores if you'd like.

I know it affected his FPS giving him the "xero is using the timedemo bug to give him high FPS of 80+ blabla"..

It's some kind of OC/energy saving stuff. I dunno if it's messing with the CPU's internal clock or what is happening.

Btw, I was back at my apartment yesterday and put the server up temporarily. I saw muff1n had made a new 4on4 map. I will put the servers back up temporarily just so people can play some mixes on the new map and dl demos or whatever (whole pack is at http://cuve.se/cuve_demos.tar.gz (500MB)) until like end of May when I'm to be out of the apartment.

deurk, you could sum up the player's frametimes over the duration of the run and use that as the final time instead of the server time that has passed. This will render any speed cheat inffective.

Just make sure you discard the result if the player's time is much less (tens of %) than server time to prevent players from doing a reverse speed cheat where you actually slow things down so as to have more time for finer control.
