Which maps exactly? What error message do you get? Do you have pak1.pak from original Quake? Try connecting to a public server and typing the map name into the console, map download should be executed.

Stop using capitals on every first letter of every word, it makes the text hard (and annoying to read). Also same applies to using smileys instead of commas and periods.
