Recently the original quake rocket launcher was added to TF2 as a loadout item, accompanied by some 'remastered' versions of the rocket launcher fire and exlosion sound. I have extracted and zipped these sounds, which are WAV files (mono, 16-bit, 44.1kHz).
LinkHave a listen and see if they are worth using.
In case you are interested, they are located in the "team fortress 2 materials.gcf" file, under /tf/materials/weapons/
I didn't notice a subforum for sound files, just graphics, so I figured this would be the most appropriate place to post these.

Here is a pak-file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0HH2QIPG
Put it in your id1-directory and rename the _ to 2 or whatever number comes after your current pak-files.

It's not really remastered, It just sounds "different".
The best quake sounds you can get is the mindgrid audio pack.

I don't think copywrite means what you think it means.

I agree, which is why i enclosed the word remastered in quotation marks, though I figured there might be some interest. Not sure on the copyright status of these files, I guess i'll let you know when I get an angry email from Valve.
