Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a Asus K53SJ-SX216V laptop. The vidcard is a GT520M which isn't considered a 'good' gaming card, but that statement usually comes from teens who play Crysis, Call Of Duty 27....etc. So I wonder, is it good enough to attach a 75hz monitor to it and play at least at 1440x900 as I do now with stable 77fps ? Anyone has experience with this card?

My experience of laptops is that of cooling issues rather than actual performance issues.

I used to play on a laptop (purchased mid-late 2007) with a C2Duo at 2ghz and an 8600M GT with a stable 77fps. I can't remember if I had to lower the resolution (1680x1050) to get stable fps, but I don't think I did. It also ran TF2 at a 'playable' level if I decreased the res to 1280x800...
According to notebookcheck they seem to perform roughly equivalently? So I reckon it would be alright. Probably.

Yeah, but the Fermi generation cards don't seem to keep up the nvidia tradition of old OpenGL support.... heard really bad stuff about that. That's what makes me think 'how bad is it really'. ..

Yeah, cooling can't ever be as good as in desktops....true.

Like what?
The OpenGL support is the same for all NVIDIA cards, newer ones just support more extensions. In Fermi's case, that would be up to version 4.2.
