Just wanted to ask whether any decisions (or even discussions!) have been made regarding a second season of the Salvation draft league? It seems to have been reasonably popular/successful and there was talk of another season potentially being run shortly after it finished.
Obviously summer tournaments have had fairly mediocre interest/success in the past but perhaps things might be better with a draft tournament (rather than clans) in terms of the signups being people who actually want to play during the summer months. Even if there is a reduced turnout in terms of div1 players this might given an opportunity for some of the more active players of average skill to get involved.

For my part, I got cockblocked by Diablo III. Murdoc dissapeared completely and zero has been in Italy for a week. But just came home - to play Diablo I doubt there will be any summer tournament but we still hope to do something in the start of the fall. For now enjoy the summer and start choosing your class!! whitchdoctor for the animal lovers or barbarians for the more hands-on approach =)

I'd love to see a new season and hope to make the draft :-) gotta put myself out there more in the 4on4 scene, so this draft system is a good way for me to see my progress.
Yours, Andeh

:S Agree. Won match should be 3 points. Won map = 1 point. 2-0 3 points 2-1 3 points 1-2 1 point 0-2 0 points Standing will be: Rikoll: 6 Para: 4 Dimman: 4 Cara: 1 The difference between 2-0 and 2-1 will be used if some teams has equal amount of points. In such case number of won/lost maps considered. No need to use it in points system.

I don't have a system in mind, But I think that the focus should be to make as many even, competitive and fun games as possible, this is not achieved by having a system where people will start giving up after a loss or two because it's pointless at that stage.
Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating some carebear system. But please bear this in mind if we want many signups for future seasons.
EDIT: To be clear. I have no opinion on the current system, because I haven't really looked at it. And I think the tournament and drafting structure has been great so far. I am just stating what I think should be the focus for any system of this kind of tournament.

If an argument was to be made that a worse team would advance before a better team, weŽd have an issue and a sucky system. I have not seen such an argument yet. All I have seen is people pointing out how the system works and calling it: "sucky". Not much to base a discussion on. carrier has arrived - twitch.tv/carapace_

All I have seen is people pointing out how the system works and calling it: "sucky". Not much to base a discussion on. So, pointing out that a team with less match wins and less map wins than another team in the group, has the same amount of points, isn't a valid argument for claiming that the system sucks? What more do you want? Or maybe the usage of the word "suck" makes it completely unacceptable for your high debate morale toveven consider the actual point of the post? I could list quite a few examples on how this point system could fuck up the end result, but I think even just a slight bit of imagination on your own behalf would do the trick as well.
