When replying to a thread it should show the thread when posting a new reply so we can see what's written in the thread previously!

Yes, the plan is to put the form in the same page as the thread.

I miss polls! Me too. Polls are fun! What could be a hot topic nowadays? - should you be able to play with teaminfo overlay? - should we allow modified bolt2.mdl? Join us on discord.quake.world

Does the old bolt2.mdl makes any difference at all? Does anyone have it? I would like to test. (nobody check f_modified anyway)

I have the forum bookmarked and when i connect it doesnt have the highlighted sections for new posts. So, I look and think hmm forum is pretty quiet. Then I notice Im not logged in so I have to go back to the main page and login, then go to the forum. Then I see there are new posts.
Is there a way to login from the forum page? So i am automatically logged in when I connect? Does this deter other people from seeing there are new messages? Maybe everyone is doing the same thing as I and just dont see the new messages then they also dont post the forum crawls with new posts....

Alright, I've added a login button in the submenu (where the user panel is displayed when authed). If you have cookies enabled you will get automatically logged in each time you visit the page (if you don't click log out). I also recommend bookmarking Updates to get an overview of new content.

first, THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS!
here's is my humble request (I think many would like this):
- Posts subscription (with e-mail notification if you want) of any post you want, or automattically the ones you have posted.
(that thing: "Subscribe to this Post", or: "UNsubscribe" )
don't know if this is the word in english...
(if one week or more has passed, without seeing the forum, I'm always re-checking lots of posts to see if anyone awnsered me, or made a question for me) (and I do this mannually, switching between all my posts, I even have them bookmarked here! it's a little anoying...) (QW Nickname: AL.Kernell)

Add a thread to favourites -> click the star on a thread, then you'll get a notification on the icon if something happened in a favourite thread. If someone answers your post (make sure they quote you), then you will see that in Quotes, icon which looks like " It will also be a small notification on the icon if someone has quoted you. I'm not sure many people would want to be notified by email regarding a thread, but its worth discussing I think.

Ability to see more than five of your last forum replies Different icon for logout - it's a shame, the other ones are very intuitive

About the remember login checkbox, really? You're remembered by default, and if you don't wanna be remembered anymore you click logout.

I would like new articles to be highlighted so I don't miss new articles on the front page.
If I've viewed the front page, mark all articles as read.

Hallo,
A few requests/bugs from your friendly neighbourhood cream. :>
In the "game content" section where player configs are stored, the first page seems to be the "latest configs" page. Clicking on the "latest configs" page brings you to the "here are all the configs" page!
Also, IIRC, the old site used to show what resolution a config was meant to be played with as well. It used to have a header before the text box that stated things such as "resolution: 800x600", etc; my request is to bring this back so that it is easier to tell if a config is set up for widescreen or 4:3.
Also, a few pictures of trophies/etc should be displayed on the first page of the website, and they should be photoshopped to give honor to the player called "cream" for all of his great deeds.

Clicking on the "latest configs" page brings you to the "here are all the configs" page! That's because the "Latest" page is an overview page of all our latest game content, at the moment however, we only have configs. Also, IIRC, the old site used to show what resolution a config was meant to be played with as well. The config info and search functionality is a little crippled now, but it'll get an overhaul later on, probably when we add more game content.

Maybe it would be a good idea to add a banner or something for gfx.quakeworld.nu somewhere in that section for now?

Hallo,
I request that gfx.quakeworld.nu require a CAPTCHA as well as an account on the website in order to post comments. (or was this already fixed? I've never commented there)
It is currently over-flowing with ads for viagra on almost every item posted there. A good example: http://gfx.quakeworld.nu/details/295/endif/

Dunno how, but most quake related sites I visit have the same issues.

I don't really follow, what do you mean by not seeing them as "mutually exclusive at all"? If I understand it correct, you think that even tho we already link to the sub site in two different locations, one of which is visible on all pages of the site... We should also add a banner somewhere?

I don't know where the second link is but at this page (in it's current state at least): http://www.quakeworld.nu/gamecontent I would like to have a bigger push for the gfx.quakeworld.nu site. simple as that. EDIT: Ok found it. Maybe I missunderstood the "Game content" category. It now seems much more wider than I initially thought (with demos etc). So maybe youre right, maybe it doesn't deserve that huge spot.

Would be nice to be able to post comments when watching a video without reloading the page (video stops and resets).

Turn server IP:s into links in the QWNET box.
Make a qw:// link and a www.nquake.com/online/join/<ip> link.
Perhaps use icons to separate them and some nice ajax code to display the server IP.

"New message" in Message window. Tedious to have to go to the user's page and click send message.

Ability to quote comments in e.g. Blogs and not just forum threads.
