There's a thing I was reminded of recently and it bugs me that I can't dig it up. As a long shot maybe someone here knows what/where it might be?
What I'm thinking of is a CTF match recam. It's from back in the day before good streaming video hosting was a thing, so it was distributed as a mod -- a pak file that included the edited demo for playback along with the music track(s).
I'm pretty sure that:
- it was a tournament match, and at least one of the teams was from an active/popular clan (LGD?)
- the map was ctf5 "Da Ancient War Grounds"
- at least some of the music was a classical orchestral piece
- it used some slow-mo and freecam
And I think it may have been from a 3v3 tournament.
Unfortunately Quake demos in general, and CTF demos in particular, are decaying out of the internet. And my google-fu is not succeeding in narrowing down the specifics about this demo.
Not gonna lose sleep over this but it would be neat to see it again. Cheers if you happen to know about it. :-) Or if you know of a good stash of old demos/"machinima"/whatever that I could dig thru.
