2x2x2 (3 or more teams) this must be very interesting!!! I've searched around, and I don't think this has been done yet.. I think in Clan Arena it already exists... (i've searched the keyword "2on2on2" and found this: http://www.quakeworld.nu/forum/topic/769/46354/how-should-clan-arena-be-implemente/but, in NORMAL DM MODE, I think it will be AMAZING FUN!!!!! imagine: 2on2on2 at dm3, dm2, e1m2.... Such game modes were actually available back in the days... we used to play 2on2on2, was quite nice! And yea I miss this feature aswell. Why did anyone remove it? :/ I think it works in KTPRO server. Here's what to change: localinfo k_lockmax 2 // maximum number of teams in game localinfo k_membercount 2 // minimum number of players in each team to start match Join us on discord.quake.world

I think 4on4on4on4 was played back in the days in death32c as well. It would be great to give these modes (both 2on2 and 4on4) a try once again. I guess 4on4on4on4 will be a bit too tough to arrange though :L.

Yeah, would be cool. I even think the 2on2on2 has a potential to be played every once in a while, not only the first try and then forget.
A question to serveradmins and/or mvdsv/ktx devs: Is there a good reason for locking servers away from multi team modes, by default? Join us on discord.quake.world

WORKED!!! (however these ducking-fckers here dropped, so we played 2x2x1 instead, but it was major-fun!) To make it work I had to do this: 1: 3on3 (if the mode was 2on2 it didn't work... so I put 3on3) (the commands below I just used rcon. No need to restart anything, it simply worked instantly!) 2: set k_lockmax 33: set k_lockmin 34: set k_membercount 2 (minimum players per team) (this I had to change to 1, couse of the mother-fcker who dropped before match-start, so the minium became 1) (now I'm just waiting for the next chance to play it... =D) (Edited 2013-01-24, 14:56)(QW Nickname: AL.Kernell)

I don't see a reason. My servers have k_lockmax 6 and k_membercount 0 so it's possible to play 2on2on2on2 for example.

I don't know what servers you run, but I know the modes request isn't available on any servers I play on (pangela, foppa, troopers). Actually, I'm lying. Pangela changed his servers today! Just type /3on3 and then there's no limit on maxteams or minplayers etc. Tada! Thanks pangela. Join us on discord.quake.world
