Hello guys! I just made this account, and I haven't played this for many years and it's great, though I have a problem, and that is changing skins.

I use the latest version of nQuake and every player has the completely red skin, even teammates, and I can't change the skins at all. The game simply refuses. I checked the folders and all the skins in the skins menu are in the skins folder, so I have no idea what to do.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or if this is a fault within the client and can I fix this?

Also, if this topic is in the wrong section, please put it where it belongs.

I think nQuake has forceskins on by default which is changed with the teamskin and enemyskin commands.

Try:
teamskin ""
enemyskin ""

I.e. empty values.

I tried it but it's still the same. I managed to make the teammates white, though.

Maybe it's that r_enemyskincolor command once again ?

r_enemyskincolor ""
r_teamskincolor ""

Check the nQuake readme.txt and question #9 there.

I'm thinking perhaps I should change this default setting and just use skins instead.
