Are these demos available for download? If so, where can I get them?

You are going to have to hunt them down on the servers

Join the most popular servers and go: cmd dlist "the team you are searching for"
The demos are then numbered so then you go: cmd dl "the number of the demo you want"
Try to match the result with the reported date on the EQL site.

You can also check stats.quakeworld.nu to get a hint about what games to look for
