Okey, I've spoken to Lorn yesterday about qhlan and he brought me some news. First off he started talking for 10 minutes about why there's problem with Galaxen. In short some dude that runs Galaxen strongly disliked us beeng there in a very unexpected way, like "what? are you going to have computers and ppl sleeping in my place? - never!!!". Lorn have some contacts up high in the local authorities which he now have called to make them persuade this strange Galaxen-owner into letting us hire it. Lorn also said something about trying to get a meeting between them at the end of this week (or prolly next). So, this is not very much light in the darkness, BUT - there is a plan b! Lorn has contacted some lan-colleague who can let out a place in Märsta (also Stockholm) at the specified dates 4-7 January. There was some minor fixes to be made before getting that place runnig, he said. But atleast there is a plan B! That is really all I know for now. Join us on discord.quake.world

well the dates are set phrenic, get it booked nice news bps! I don't get the whole "we have to see who div1-clans will come or we won't"-thing everybody's doing.. so what if para/dag/griff isn't coming, qhlan is great fun every year every time

well I'd say they are, since we might get a good venue after all(not galaxen) if things don't clear up with galaxen ;P

I have never understood why the page is taken down every year. Why not just change the date and have the same page?

We also need to know this yesterday since we have to make arrangements at work, planning the trip etc. Fortunately we are only coming from Finland, so it's not that big of a deal, but still the furthest I've ever been to a lan. You should also consider the fact that it's a bit different for me to book my holidays for that time right now and find out that ppl aren't coming. This as opposed to you being close to the organization, close to the venue etc. I could easily wait until like December concering a Lan in Helsinki. This thread isn't exactly teeming with anxious ppl :/ I really hope that things work out, but the clock is ticking and at least from our point of view, it's ticking very fast to making other plans :/

ayee well, I talked with lorn again recently this is the heads up, the guy responsible for Galaxen isn't the same as last year, so this new guy basically is being a dick and will not let us use Galaxen since we leave it so unclean and we "brake" stuff (!?!?!) ok, we are the only ones fkn cleaning that place after us.. but we are whining and complaining to get it :/

So! bringing good news here! apparently we won't be in Galaxen(fuck yeah!), instead we are going to use a venue in Märsta. This means the dates are set as well. We are not sure about how or if we will have chauffeurs available, and Märsta is very close to Arlanda and only ~36minutes by commuter train from Stockholms central. That's it for now

So, a have a list of questions: 1) Any help with visa? 2) I will arrive finland 3d of january by car with my friends who are going to some snowboard place. So, can someone catch me and drive to sweden? 3) I don't want to take computer to QhLan. Mouse, pad, headphones and usb-flash will be enought. So, where can i find good computer for me? (I like much fps, playing with GF6600GT) 4) Any chance for rent good CRT monitor? Cos LCD is crap. Thats all. Also i need to find team and a good teammate for 2on2 too .
