Is there a good way to play pre-2.30 QWD files short of using Qizmo? Qizmo isn't even playing them back correctly for me (I get stuck in some weird "psuedo-spectator" setup where I can't track anyone.) I haven't found a modern client that plays older versions of QWD files and QWDTools does not appear to be able to work with old QWD versions, either.

Can you provide such a demo or perhaps a few of them so people can test them?

I eventually found success using QW 2.1 (software) and Open Broadcaster Software.

I thought Tonik put support for all demo versions in ZQuake back in the day.
ZQuake became fuhQuake which then became ezQuake so I would assume it could play them?
Try FTEquake, it basically supports anything.

ezQuake won't open the older demo files. It says that the server returned version 25, not 28.
FTEQuake...I wasn't familiar with that one. I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.
