For now just use the backup
asgaard.morphos-team.net
which has this easier to memorize hostname: ffa.quake.rocks

so you can /connect ffa.quake.rocks

Sadly, most of FFA players use ezquake's browser

Is anyone looking into this ? I will help with cost if there is any issue there.

i do feel this server is really important in keeping qw alive, be a shame if it is gone

Looks to me qw://quake.xs4all.nl:27500 and 27501 are still dead.
In the meantime the server/player browser still comes up with nice alternatives :-P
Still, hope xs4all qw ffa is going to be online again very soon !

But many now play on ffa.quake.rocks. People found the way to the backup server.
That server is located in Germany.

So I've gotten an answer from XS4ALL and roughly translated it;
