Hello all!
Not sure if I should've posted this in the Rookies corner but here goes, noob question time. Been recently playing Quake again with a modern sourceport and had a blast. I used Quakespasm which retains the old visual charm. I wanted to play the multiplayer too so I stumbled upon Quakeworld, or nQuake. I just found the game looks very different from classicQ which I also found on my quest for the ultimate version of the game. I love nQuake's menu navigation and all that, it's very intuitive and you can use it with a mouse. I'd take it over classicQ's menu any day. But here's the problem: I'd really love classicQ's looks compared to Quakeworld's. Is there a way to have these kinds of textures and lighting in Quakeworld? I like the clarity QW offers but I'd only want to use it for simple items and fullbright player skins. Excuse the bad legoquake screens.
