For people that need to borrow or rent PC/monitor at QHLAN2017.

Lornelin said:
Hazard has around 12 (maybe a few more) computers (older Core i3's) that could be made available for people who can't bring their own, it might be the same ones some of you used at the last 2 QHLANs...
Monitors (that can do more than 75Hz) might be harder though. We still have like 4 of our old CRT monitors in Hazards storage, those can do at least 144Hz, but they're CRTs.
We could probably scramble a bunch of actual modern gaming monitors from people living in Stockholm if need be though. I have one 24" 1080p 144Hz that i could do without during the lan myself. If any of you reading this have an extra you could bring let me know!

UPDATED 2017-02-09:

We've gotten a nice deal to borrow monitors!
It's 40 23.5-inch monitors of model Eizo FG2421 which are used at Dreamhack.

Computers
We have good number of computers for you to borrow if you wish. The specs are: •Intel Xeon W3520, 6GB ram, 160 GB SSD, Geforce Quadro FX1800. They will be formatted after the LAN, so you may install your preferred OS. Probably win7/10 on them now.

Let us know what you need, preferrably on your qhlan.org registration.

Those Samsung 2233RZ's are excellent. I have a spare one at home also but unfortunately it only takes DVI-D and I need DisplayPort

My plan is to connect a Macbook Pro from USB-C. Will that be a problem? I just figured I needed a usb-c to dual-dvi-d or something.

(I might just buy myself a screen anyway for home use too and bring that one. Send me a PM if you anyone has screen suggestions in the $400 range.)

you will need to make sure that the adapter is active dvi or you will only get 60hz and not 120hz

Some remarks about the Eizo FG2421 which I have one here:
What ever you, give it about 30 min. (yes, 1/2 h) to warm up, literally 30 min., not felt 30

In Turbo-Mode (eizo's own implementation of lightboost) you'll have excellent crispness/colors and contrast, much more like a well aged CRT then a TN-Monitor. However you'll have to deal with some input lag (users of lightboost variants on other monitors will have experienced this).
It can also be set up without Turbo Mode which will do away with input lag but make the picture more blurry then the usual 120hz TN-panels.

Anyway, most important: Let it warm up! Turn off power saving via the monitor's settings menu because it likes to cool down quite fast.

Zero! Not bringing your old SR buddies along? Great that you're coming in any case. Who will you be playing with?

Thanks to all of you for notifying us on your rental needs.
