QHLAN 2017 is confirmed, and will be organized together with hazard.nu, who annually host Hazard LAN at Fredrika Bremergymnasiet (a school) in Haninge, 21km south of Stockholm.



Dates: Thursday 2 March (12:00) - Sunday 5 March (12:00), 2017.

Seats: Around 400. We can get at least 100 dedicated for QW as needed.
Entrance fee: Prepaid: 250 SEK, At the entrance: 300 SEK, Day pass: 50 SEK.
Tournaments: Quakeworld 1v1 & 2v2 (4v4 if enough teams form). Info will follow.
Internet connection: 800Mbit shared.
Spectator area: Spec area with about 70 seats.
Casters desk: Tastyspleen.tv and sdTV will be covering the event on site, with Jehar & Andeh casting.
Monitors for rent: We've gotten a nice deal to borrow monitors!
It's 40 23.5-inch monitors of model Eizo FG2421 which are used at Dreamhack. Let us know if you need one, preferrably on your qhlan.org registration.
Computers for rent: Hazard has a great number of Intel Xeon W3520, 6GB ram, 160 GB SSD, Geforce Quadro FX1800.
Sleeping halls: There are lots and lots of classrooms we can use so there are more than enough room. If you have trouble bringing sleeping gear talk to us and we'll work something out.
Kiosk: Low-end 24h kiosk. Price examples: soda 8, pirogue 10, toast 6. SEK. Cash only. There's also a mall, restaurants and supermarkets at less than 10 minutes walking distance from the lan.
Alcohol/drugs: Are forbidden in the school. Crew members can deny entrance to persons under influence of the beforementioned.

Is there any more details on the computers available for rent? Graphics card etc? Possible to bring your own video card?

Well going down over the day if u want some fotos / video from the event for highlight/aftermovie? i can provide some free material (freelance fotography) worked on few events as dreamhack as fotograph and smal lans forexample so give something back to quake if u want too sync stuff anything special filmed so on .let me know before hand ether hear or on discord qw channel il be around. Of course! Perhaps you could set up proper angles / whatever for interviews as well! It would be nice with a proper camera for doing interviews. It is likely we'll bring good stuff with the production, but it never hurts to have more available

Some QHLAN progress news:
Had some great discussions yesterday on scheduling and playout of tournaments, and it looks like no tournament is starting before dinnertime on thursday 2nd march. Probable start time is 20:00, but not set in stone. Fyi. So there's a window for installation/setup/people arriving late.
