i know the apple cinema display is only limited to 60hz however i still achieve about 90+ fps on the /timedemo fps. this does look sort of weird however. does anyone have any suggestions on tuning the apple lcd's in linux for qw optimization.

try cl_maxfps 60. On some LCD screen high FPS rates cause to choppy picture, while FPS rate = refresh rate looks fine.

You'll want to set cl_physfps 77 if you limit your FPS though, or it will severely impair your jumping... :/

Setting your physfps higher than your maxfps is really not recommended iirc.
