Someone recently asked Sassa for a 'donate to qw.nu' button as he so enjoyed our commentary shows so much that he felt compelled to show his appreciation! Anyway, it makes sense to add one as we have server bills to pay and with the development of our new network of sites it's likely that we may need all the funds we can get for more resources. Donation is of course voluntary and at your own discretion, so please don't feel any pressure to do so. However, if you've got a bit of spare change then please feel free to donate You can donate via the QW.nu front page - see the donate link on the left-hand side. Thanks DonatorsQW.nu loves the following people: seewai Deurk mixu

Just in case you plan to add Google Ads somewhen: If you register over my link at Quaddicted I'll be getting 100$ if you manage to "do" 100$ in 180 days. I would share that money then of course. With a big community Google Ads should give quite some money

We might add google ads on the forum at some point, but there won't be any on the front page, nor on the new site (which, by the way, is probably just a few weeks away from public beta test).

Just received the first donation, thank you Patrick Farrell. If you can let me know your QW handle then I'll add you to a thank you list in the first post

Colin's brother!
btw, it might be nice to put together some qw.nu t-shirts to send to those who donate about a certain amount like £20, €30, $35, (e.g. like http://daringfireball.net/members/) but preferably something non-geeky and with no http or url on it but something clean like just the quakeguy head gib on front of a plain dark slate (#4A505C) coloured shirt. They don't need to advertise qw.nu but could just be something that fellow members would recognise and also something that people would be happy to wear out without feeling ridiculous. Also make the material should be breathable and high quality as i'd rather pay more and receive this than pay cheap and get some cheap thing i wouldn't wear.

Hanes Beefy T would be an excellent choice, they're sturdy yet comfortable and very standard-looking. They're sown from very high-density cotton which makes them very strong, I have a few I've worn for five years. Teamplay is nothing. Aim is everything. OBEY YOUR AIM

it must also be cool to scale the size of the names based on the relative amount they have donated (like the gnusolaris example) as this would encourage people to donate more money to get a bigger name

oldman, I dont think this should be seen as a competition. Btw how much traffic are you generating? I am sure somebody could hook you up for free if its not much. Ofc uptime might not be 99.9% but it would be free.

Yeah I don't like the greedy feeling that comes with the more money the bigger the name... I could host the damn forum for free but I still donated, not much for sure but if everybody did the same you would already be driving 3 new cars...!

Im very proud to see this, Gaz, Bps, Tumult, Empezar, are all worth it, we're all working hard for qw.nu to get the community going and right now it's going quite well. The commentry rocks as well, I was actually allowed to comment a semifinal along with Hangtime, and It was very fun I hope you listeners didnt think I was too much of a yerk though _________________________________________________________________________________ There's so much stupid ppl in this world, I tried to figure out why there's so much of them and came to realize that t
