I think thats almost impossible to tell. There are many who have been inactive for years (like me), but never really quit. If community means the people that play regularly, I'd go with Empezar's 1000-1500.

A "census of population" would be great. Maybe some map where one could add the position (including a IMHIDDEN-country for people who don't want to be found)

564 players in EQL
Sweden: 206 players
Finland: 125
Poland: 59
Netherlands is quite an unique country since almost all of their players are top notch, just one in div3 (and he'll probably go div2 next season), 3 in div2 and the rest 5 in div1. I'd say .NL will do good in QWWCL, better than Poland, who've just one guy in div1, although they've Avenger & co.. We'll see.

some clans only played nqr and not eql aswell!!
and that just for the players who play in clans..

Many players listed on the rosters are inactive though. Like half of my own clan's roster are inactive (Veterans) and that makes like 5 people at least. :F
But at the same time there seems to be loads of people who just plays the occasional FFA on xs4all every now and then, or focus on 1on1 etc.
