Hello :-)
I am just letting everyone know that I changed from a Geforce GTX 1660 Super to a AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card (gigantic upgrade) and noticed that I could not achieve a smooth frame rate. As it turns out, my vid_renderer 1 was the culprit. Noticed something strange - since my autoexec.cfg sets vid_renderer 1, when I was trying to change it back to vid_renderer 0, I would get a flood of console message errors (ive attached screenshots).
So what I had to do was quit the game, adjust autoexec.cfg and my config to vid_renderer 0 and boom, framerate is good as gold.
Has anyone else had an issue like this with the new renderer and a modern AMD card?
I have the latest ezQuake build.
Big thanks for ciscon, gnz and others helping me eventually get to the problem!
