http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/05/31/veteran.robbery.ap/index.html only happens in a) since when do street muggings involve 4 people of approx 17 years of age carrying a shotgun and a pistol? b) since when do you try to put up a fight with a pocket knife against heavy weaponry when chances are you have <= $50 on you? its not like he had the secrets of the davinci code in his rucksack

In britain he'd be arrested for murder and grevious bodily harm and sentanced to a 'life' sentance of 25 years, and only serve about 10 years of it. At least the americans have that bit right.

soz Up2 forgot, done now spike: a 36 year old man stabbing a 17 year old girl to death, even if she is a mugger, deserves some form of punishment really

no it doesn't..
in that kind of situation, with one shotgun pointed at you and a pistol, you aren't thinking very clearly.
those were obvious self-defense actions dictated by panic and cannot be condemned.
the man did try to run afterall, when cornered he reacted from instinct to save his life.

He must have been practicing his kn1f3 sk1llz in CS. Imagine whacking robbers like that. I think he hax! reminds me off that old cs joke. "how do you recognize a cs player?" "he always pulls his knife when he runs for the buss" also like this quote from grimwall: http://www.warpdrive.se/?3045 translation to english "hit a csplayer with a knife in the ass and you get a headshot, because that's where they have their head" (sloppy quick translation, not really the same flow as the originial but i guess it will do )

The british government is currently considering a five year sentance simply for carrying a knife in the first place. So yes, he should be _very_ glad that he was in america at the time.
