I sure hope so, that would break the swedes big hope on their football skills If I have to cheer for someone, it will be some favourite who does have a chance to win

So it has began.
Germany 4 x 2 Costa Rica Ecuador 2 x 0 Poland
A very predictible result on the first game. And a bit of a surprise on the second, I voted for a draw. Germany has a strong team, but if they keep playing like they played that game, they'll not go very far.
I miss Ecuador vs Poland, so can't say anything about that. =/

I think you underestimated Trinidad and Tobago. =) England was below my spectatives, as i said before. But Paraguay surprised me on the second half. Just Argentina vs CĂ´te d'Ivoire left. That will probably be the best game today.

Ok, that was the best game till now.
Argentina was not at it's best but still good enought to take control of the game. But that's not important.
O_O at CĂ´te d'Ivoire!!! Man, I love the way those guys play.
/me look's forward for CĂ´te d'Ivoire vs Holland

First round impressions. Which teams were the surprises for you?
I would say Czech Republic and Spain. I tought that Spain was just yet another team, but their lineup is very, very strong.

I would say Czech Republic and Spain. I tought that Spain was just yet another team, but their lineup is very, very strong. Positive surprises: Trinidad&Tobago, Germany (yes, I didn't expect them to play well), Spain (Let's see when they manage to fuck up again as usual ), Australia (impressive how much their style has changed!) Negative surprises: Sweden, Ukraine, Japan
