One the topic of fps games, I have Halo Custom Edition installed but I need a valid cd key, does anyone have a copy of Halo they didn't like and feel like lending a key code? OR a way around it?

chasm was cool but i most say: FARCRY, if i forget the last maps that game was the coolest singleplayer fps ever. alot thx to the really nice AI. CODII was cool, and looked nice too. but not alot of linear(?) games that come close to the freedom of farcry. oblivion is cool, but abit too huge btw wasnt terminal velocity 3rd person heligame? was cool if it was the on im thinking of. and if 3rd person games are called for i must say GTA San Andreas.. mmm plesure looking forward to next nothing beats pimping some stolen car, turn on some snoop, light a reefer and the do some drivebys´s i played thru hl1 and hl2 but i must say they are as braindead as doom3.. press a button here and then go there, zzzzz only fun to check the graphics..

I play BF2 online as much as QW. It fills a "war-sim" niche nicely that QW doesn't (and it doesn't touch QW's arcade niche).
Offline, some nice FPS for me are: Oblivion, Hitman 4, GRAW... Would be nice if RS Vegas came out for PC... The E3 x360 video for that is amazing... I think it has come out for the PC hasn't it? Anyway, the Xbox 360 version is kick-ass. /me kapows another terrorist in the head

i'm playing Quake2 TDM 4vs4 atm.. since it has a decent pub activity in my country it's easy & fun, although over extended periods of time gets really boring (only q2dm1 ffs)

Any game from Half-Life series. Opposing Force was the best IMO. Gunman: Chronicles is nice fps on HL1 engine. Tribes 1 & 2 are great games, and you can get them for free. Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are fun, even if you don't like Star Wars. AvP2 is good game also (but Primal Hunt sucks).

<3 Tribes. Unique gameplay, brilliant engine. Sequels were worse than the original IMO, just like in Quake

Damn, I remember playing Tribes a bit, it was a blast to use jetpack and shoot exploding disks all around, I wonder how the game turned out to be, didn't play it for long or hear about it at all since then though, unlike many other FPS's...

I strongly disagree and think T:V ruined the Tribes series. Damn Sierra to hell for firing Dynamix. BTW, the former Dynamix team became Garage Games and are currently working on a tech demo called Legions for their updated Torque engine (the engine for T2). It looks quite like an updated Tribes ;o Although T:V is still fun sometimes, it's not the same as T1 or T2.

Easy difficulty level in OF is like hard in HL2:Episode 1.

I installed Max Payne 2 last night and found myself dodging bullets until 5 AM. Mad. Oooohhhhhhhhh Max Payne...... I totally fell in love with that game. Excellent, loved the silly puzzels and the mad shootings.

I have found good Tribes clone. It's made by some ppl from T2 scene. This is good alternative to original games, cuz T1 is pretty outdated, there are no more cd keys for T2, and T:V is no longer supported by publisher.
www.legendsthegame.net
It have jets, skiing, turrets, armor classes, outdoors, and even weapons like Tribes 2!
