I would love a qwctf-tournament with true classic settings, INCLUDING runes and hook, every other settings than that is not ctf.

yes, keen to try out a decent ctf map the problem is, alot of us want to try no runes/hook... but alot of maps are designed with these in mind. will be interesting to see whats out there.

or new maps, make some of q3s ctf-maps for qw? the q3wcp-maps are real fun I have talk with mapper, after few days of "in-depth study" he decide porting q3wcp9. is that ok for qw ctf without hook?

We play quite a few custom ctf maps in the US, of course we wouldn't dream of playing without the grapple though..
Right click, save as
2v2 / very chaotic 3v3: http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/rampage.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/boom.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/head.bsp
suitable for 4v4 or whatever: http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/pound.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/frenzy.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/softbox.bsp
other customs we don't play much, but are not necessarily bad: http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/asylum-ctf.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/bastard.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/bloody.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/capit.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/cbase-ctf.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/cheatc.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/flagrun.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/gym.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/koc1.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/rampage2.bsp http://www.quakeworld.us/maps/dmmaps/wet3.bsp
And a couple demos.. http://www.quakeworld.us/ult/demos/softbox_3v3.mvd http://www.quakeworld.us/ult/demos/softbox_dmers.mvd http://www.quakeworld.us/ult/demos/4on4_blue_vs_red_pound.mvd http://www.quakeworld.us/ult/demos/4on4_red_vs_blue_pound.mvd http://www.quakeworld.us/ult/demos/head_2v2.mvd

Softbox is just a modded version of the original ctf8, has both positive and negative changes. otherwise pound and boom are nice maps. So the hook issue... probably all "pro" ctfers wont play without it, and all non-pro will not play with it... something need to be done. As i said before, the hook is not hard to learn and its not necessary to be good with hook. As in dm there are fast movers and there are also slow movers that goes more for aim and sneakyness. give it a try.
