check this demo out: http://speeddemosarchive.com/quake/projects/qd100qwav/demos/end_055.dz the newest improvement to Quake done 100% Quick with a Vengeance. sick! sick! sick! PS: use JoeQuake to view the demo / extact the demo from the .dz archive and use ZQuake to view it / use FTEQW PS²: dammit! EZQuake should have NQ demos support as well, like ZQuake has

damn right - no point for me to instsall another client for this demo. though, I admit I'd like to watch it badly, being a fan of "qdq" series... I'll make weapons of my imperfections

no.. it's alright, because all of them use the same file paths so i have common dirs under ./id1 for textures/gfx/progs/whatever

you know... I guess I'll just grab my Q1 CD and install it and simply run the demos in there. oh but there's another thing (little off-topic - sorry ) - once I install dzip, I cannot by any means uninstall it from my system. now I have fresh windoze, and I'd like to make sure that i'll be able to remove dzip in case I want to - you had such problems? I'll make weapons of my imperfections

no.
you don't need to install Dzip if you're using JoeQuake because it comes with dzip.exe and when you're trying to view the demo he'll decompress it automatically

lol bunny hopping / rocket jumps / slope jumps / +mlook must be lame too since they're all exploits of the wonderful Quake engine

in multiplayer you can't kill opponent through walls besides, it just doesn't look cool. I mean - I admired those ppl who managed to thunder through location in ~ 7 sec or so. Now, with shafting through walls it looks different. Way different. Just IMO of course. I'll quote Monty Python: "You're no fun anymore" I'll make weapons of my imperfections

Although the improvement is massive, I agree it's not the most entertaining demo. Try something like e4m2.

in multiplayer you can't kill opponent through walls that trick is map specific. if a player on end would stand in those spawn rooms he would be shafted (don't know if it works in QW, might be NQ only). besides, it just doesn't look cool. I mean - I admired those ppl who managed to thunder through location in ~ 7 sec or so. Now, with shafting through walls it looks different. Way different. i'm not gonna argue what a speedrun is or not. read this Speedrun Kalma you're right, i was just presenting a trick brought to a new level the intermission nailgun attack is way incredible since it's very hard to predict the right angle you're shooting at the monsters still left alive in that level..
