HAMMER TIME! Quake Duel League.
With 2018 coming to a close the QW community looks to the future. And we are happy to announce a brand new duel league to kick off 2019 with a bang. It's HAMMER TIME!
The brainchild of Rebellion of Thunder head honcho, Hammer, the HT-QDL is a multi division round robin style tournament with the aim of providing high quality games across all skill levels. The twist? We have all be in the position in tourneys where our favorite map is tossed by our opponent.Not this time. Each player will pick 3 maps each from an extended pool of 8, then ALL 6 will be played with points being awarded for each map won.

Sign ups are now open and will remain open until 31st December 2018. The league will commence 6th January 2019. Full details on the rules, map pool as well as sign up form are available on the league website.

Nice idea that players will be able to play their fav maps every game.
So if they both picked the same 1-2-3 maps they will be played twice?

And I was too lazy to check but now I did:

MAPS ALLOWED:
DM2 , DM4 , DM6 , AEROWALK , ZTNDM3 , BRAVADO , SKULL , SHIFTER
EACH PLAYER PICKS 3 MAPS AND ALL 6 MUST BE PLAYED !!
(all 6 maps must be different)

I dont like the idea that every map can only be played once. If both players like the same map why not play it twice?

#2 fav map from the pool then. Guess it sucks not being able to force your maps onto ppl in every duel tournament there is ;(

#4 @sae, not really. A veto is stopping someone from picking a particular map. In this you can choose or not choose any map from the pool you want, no one can block a map from being played.

Hello everyone. I see that RaggA is helping everyone with their questions and observations.
Thank you RaggA !!

Wanted to let you all know that a small update on the rules 08. Servers has been made.
Due to some players have low ping and when playing a non-european player that has 90ms+ is just NOT fair, AT ALL. For that reason this rule has been added:

"EUROPEAN PLAYERS MUST PING NOT LESS THAN 45MS WHEN PLAYING A NON-EUROPEAN PLAYER."

Honorable players would just match their ping or at least HALF of his opponent, but that's just an observation Thank you all and
