EQL 6 Final results and Standings

Despite website problems and inactivity the 6th season of the European Quake League has now all but concluded. Division 1 has yet to be completed but all other Divisional Titles have been decided. To find out more click on read more above.

id like to see shorter seasons and the importance of groupstages has to increase somehow.too much idling going on during this time and that leads to no motivation and eventually to more idling

How about a 2on2/4on4 ladder, and try to get some kind of smaller sponsorship where the winners will win like a new Razer-mouse or something like that ?? (Or smaller prices and shorter (but more) tournaments??

In return the sponsors get to advertise on the site?

ye, groupgames are pretty much always a waste of time. i think multiple tournaments are good though, that way your team could fuck up in a real elimination tournament and still continue playing in tourney2. two different elimination-tournaments run overlapping with a non-divisionalized ladder or something in the background could be cool.

it's either that or prizemoney and the creation of qw premier league.

I thought that's why clans sometimes/often decide to do /quit in one tournament as they can't cope with playing in both at the same time. The "Ah well, let's win the other tournament instead" attitude is also a fucked up factor. :}

I think it without a doubt has to do with the playoffs beginning like 2 months after the group games were finished? no wonder everybody went idle before playoffs begun then..

As I saw it we could play our playoff games whenever we wanted. Problem was. No one wanted to play so the weeks just came and went. We tried getting the semi played but got WO after weeks of stalling. Not the way we wanted it. Then we just kept idling until the very last day. We had no intention of playing but sunday afternoon it was like "last chance today!"... loool half our team was missing, absolutely hammered, out cold, hehehehe. This was a spam I wrote that never went out: "13:25 <@antic> .qw need two non drunken players for late addition to EQL finals...

". Only by chance did we manage to get a team together, in the 11th hour as it were(finland time). I don't think it changed anything in the end, at least not for us, but it would have been appropriate for admins to get teams to play the playoffs or enforcing WO after maybe two weeks, no discussion. Then this would have been over by QH as planned.
