With 4 weeks remaining of the regular season we have finished over a third of the season so far. As the previous Mondays here is a review of the week that has passed.
Although I am only doing division 1 this week myself and outsourced div2 to GND. So no review of division 3 will be done this week unfortunately. I hope someone will join in to do that for next week.
Activity level in division 1 has been good and it seems most teams are playing their fair share of games with exception of
Fusion and
Suddendeath. Both trailing far behind with only 2 and 3 games.
For Fusion's part if can be attributed to
kingpin's PC breaking down and the new recruit
blAze being on vacation - although recently returned to a more colder and familiar climate.
nitram and
pascal's absense has also been a factor for this team who was considered one of the favorites pre-season - but now must fight to regain their fans trust and not fade away.
In the bottom of the board we have
Demolition Crew. This week they only managed to play 1 game losing a clear 0-2 and continue to build on that frag deficit and only 1 map won out of 12. But one must admire their persistence as they do not seem to back down from a challenge - and this one is a whopper!
TeamKillers managed to play 2 games this sunday against
clan MalFunction (1-2) and
Slackers II (0-2). Surprising most of us when they took a map from cMF, only to lose 0-2 to a weaker (on paper) team in Slackers II.
tKS has quite a strong lineup this season wtih a lineup of
en_karl,
ddk,
medar,
ganon,
hangtime, but yet they seem to be struggling on a mere 8th place. 2 places from reaching the playoffs - certainly an upset so far, but we will see if they can't make up for it. The middle of the pack has yet to be clearified as 3 teams have played 4 or less matches.
Moving past fusion and suddendeath we see the brand-spanking new
CCCP.se! They also managed to play a few matches last week - most notable winning a 2-0 victory over cMF. Later taking down Slackers II 2-0 as well puts them at a respectable 4th place so far.
Slackers II have moved up to a 3rd place after taking down tKS and
Fairytail. Although it was not all roses as they had to declare 0-2 defeat vs both CCCP and cMF - a whopping 4 games should ensure continuous activity and improvement from this new team.
cMF manages to share points with SRII on the 2nd/3rd place after collecting 2 wins and 2 losses.
Slackers continues to plow through the opponents as they took down Fairytail and cMF this week. They did not seem to suffer that much from en_karl's departure as both
StrikeR has stepped up tremendeous after he stated his comeback showing really nice form - as well as
krab coming back to give this team a broad player base to last the season.
Division 2 by GND
Week 3 was a very exciting week. KOFF still remains untouched. DC2 and BLT both came out fragging playing 5 matches to get some points on the board.
BLT looked very sharp winning most of its games and shooting up near the top of the winners bracket, while DC2 is quite the opposite. If DC2 could start practicing a bit more during the week i think they will fair better in competition.
Magnum got alot of practice in during the beginning of week 3 and it looks to be paying off, as they took 2 maps from FU.
On Sunday warpigs defeated blt in what i would say is an upset considering who blt has beaten, but after this weekend its starting to shake up like anyones games. Any team can be beaten on any given day! And i have to mention d&n our most active clan in div2 had a fantastic match against warpigs, which came to the last seconds and a phenomenal performance from glad in which he stole the series on dm3. Immortals and PSY each have only 1 game played, while Lava Beds has 0 games played. I'd like to see some more activity out of these clans in week 4.

Since last week I requested some help with div2 and div3 weekly reviews. GND stepped up for me as he was willing to provide info from div2 although I am still missing a voulenteer to help me with div3.
Nice read
