New movie by Jissse

A new movie has recently been released by

Jissse. It's been a while since we have seen such top notch production in the QuakeWorld movie scene and it's a welcome early Christmas present for all gaming movie lovers alike.

Here's what Jissse had to say about his production:

My Christmas present in advance to the Quakeworld community.
Because this game was, is, and will be the best.

Made with nQuake, some .lit files, a nice cfg, shot @60fps and 720p.
Repaired with Virtual Dub because eZQuake breaks .avi files half of the time.
Edited with After Effects and a lot of elbow grease.
Music by Black Strobe - I'm a Man on Burn Your Own Church and HTRK - Sweetheart EP.

Many Thanks to ganon for helping me out, Milton for sending me great demos, Rikoll for raping me, and Princess_faerie for being a pain in the ass.

i loved the music, it just fits. not the usual heavy metal. good choices!
the sync is also good, nice simple setup. overall its a greatly made simple movie. congrats!

Awesome job on this one! The tune fits really well, decent frags, very sleak and professional editing. Also some really humoristic moments like Ganons deeds at Quad. The outro was also beautifully done, very atmospheric and hypnotic, and for some reason gave me the same feeling I had after watching Defcons QHLAN video.

Spirit the party pooper is here!

I am hater of the turn-on-all-knobs graphics, especially the LG looks ridiculous not to mention the explosions, does anyone actually play like that?

Nice music though! could have used some syncing.

3 minutes of outro in a 7 minute movie has to be a new record.

Content was average, some fun accidents, nothing too special otherwise. Might have helped to give some context (player names more visible etc). Maybe you could make a video for some upcoming tournaments? I'd always consider thematic videos more fun to watch.

I thought it was very well done. Not the biggest fan of some of the items and graphics effects (rockets mainly) but the music/editing was top notch. At this point in time most of have probably done feats similar in game, or seen them already in demos/movies so it comes down to non-gameplay stuff to make QW movies great today. I'd rank this up there with the great movies of QW past.

Hehe true, you'd have to get a 15* airrocket to impress people nowadays !
Funny so many people made remarks about the rockets, while i feared about brightskins and simpleitems

Sick editing, not a huge fan of the soundtrack but it matches well with the pace of the movie. If you come around to make another movie I�ll make sure to be on the look-out for some nice frags.
