While talking to Claw, the admin of the tournament, he says:
The great thing about this tournament is unlike the EQL, games are balanced between teams in different countries where one is completely out-pinged. Here when Team A of 20 ping plays Team B of 100ping, Team A will also play with 100ping to balance fairness, also all the servers have antilag so you can play without too much issue. Obviously everyone wants to play with low ping but a few games shouldn't kill you.
I have also actively restarted the South American Community, we had a pretty good community in Chile before, but since there was a lack of servers, everyone went inactive but since I have came back they all came together and pitched in 1 years worth of VPS hosting at a great data location with great routing to Brazil/Argentina, now games can all be played with 80MS or less. Brazil has already been active for some time without me, but now we added an extra server with also great routing to neighboring countries. The Argentina scene has been pretty much forever non-existent with only a brief period in the late 90's where 1 server existed and a few people played and when that went down, everyone disappeared, but we also got a great VPS hosting provider there and I was able to recruit some players from Quakelive and, believe it or not, we actually have a few people previously from CPMA already holding their own against Brazilian players. I have also seen a player from Uruguay.
Most international games from South America vs Europe will be played in Miami or in New York, and games from North America vs Europe will be played either in New York or in London. There is about 2 teams in North America that will be signing up, my team clan unf!, and sane's team called Malevolent, in South America we probably will have 2 teams from Chile, 2 teams from Brazil, and one from Argentina, and in Europe we will probably have about 3 or 4 teams, so we are looking at around 10-12 teams.
It is obvious that Claw has put in a huge effort in this tournament, and it's looking to become a great Clan Arena tournament!
