hi everyone.

I recently got my 100/100mbits connexion from Port80 installed and it's almost too sweet to be true
And ofcourse I'm about to set up a qw-server.. dunno yet how many port etc. though, I first figured 3 + 1 qizmo..
I'm really suckinen @ this, so I'd like some outside help with configs, mvdsv and dns and shit.

Make a ffa server with all the maps there are, that would be truly unique and awesome. :>

nah, put up 3x1on1 2x2on2 2x4on4 +1 qizmo

get ktx on them all so we can get QTV going!

ppl can race on their local servers and race will eventually come on ktx.

if it works good after 1 week, then expand it to 4x1on1 3x2on2 3x4on4 +1 qizmo and see how it handles that.

the man for this job would be White since he did speciell really good!

can't play in swe anymore, cos there are no a single ktpro server.
ktx is still unplayable for me .
and i think qtv work fine with ktpro too .

diffirent lg feeling.
opponent model move not so smooth as on ktpro and so on.
may be it cos a lack of animation frames, may be something else.
and ktpro are fully playable with small packet lost, ktx doesn't .

i feel no difference between ktx and ktpro (pings anything from 13 up to 65 with pl 0-3) and i'm kinda sensitive to such things, so blaze consider something else as a reason, prolly some weird setting(s) which ktx doesnt like? i run 3 ktx servers, qw.linlux.net (ffa) and d2.quakeworld.pl:27501/2, try if you got the problems there :<

plast: 95% of players don't feel diffirence between m_filter 0 and 1 .
And its not my false.
Personally, i can't play with m_filter 1 cos mouse feel too inertias.

There are was test tourney few months ago.
Cos developers can't believe that ktx and ktpro have any diffirences, one of them start much ports with hidden info about mod used.
And player played one map and said verdict: server feel ktpro like or ktx like. It was 10 tries if i remember correctly.
This tourney won DooM with 100% effi.
I got second place with one mistake, but i think its was cos too overload server.

So, don't blame my setup plz. Its server side problem.

blaze, but i feel all the differences:
m_filter 0/1 (1 is unplayable)
fps 152/154 (not to mention lower)
refresh rate 77/85/100/154 (everything below 100 is unplayable)
mouse refresh rate 125/250/500 (everything below 500 is unplayable)
ping 13/26/39/52/65 (50+ is hardly playable, 26 is so much better than 39, 39 is SO MUCH better than 52)
old ktpro/new ktpro
etc.
i'm really sensitive when it comes to such things but still can't tell the difference between new ktpro and ktx, at least not in the way you describe it
if you could describe it better maybe i could try to look closer on the details to find out if it's there ;E

It's not KTX problem. The last builds of MVDSV have some prediction bug, so they are unplayable with pl > 0.0. The last release 0.25 dont have this bug.
This new mvdsv's installed at least on two servers...

thought mvdsv fixed now in CVS, will inform admins of know servers affected buy bug asap.
