Personal opinion ahead:
the v_ models (i mean the ones that show by r_drawviewmodel 1) of the sg, ssg and rl are absolutely horrible.
also, high quality levelshots would be welcome: http://gfx.qwdrama.com/details/10/
add the ultimate timedemo demo - fps.qwd - present in def's qw package. this is essencial for the newbie that wants to know if his gfx settings are prepared for intense battles.
other than that: keep the awesome work! thumbs up! never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

I'm ok with low res levelshots. However I'd like to see the levelshots redone where the default ezq skybox was used and replace these with proper cloudy quake skies.

I took some screenshots of my own with greyscaled textures to replace low res levelshots. Pretty cool. TEAM QUAD [need nothing] shaga loses another friend shaga discovers blast radius QUAD

personally i think fps.qwd is one of the worst benchmark demos in existence.
and i have the v_weapon models for consistency, as i've probably already mentioned.
you pick up one weapon - you get a different weapon equipped. this sucks more than the current v_weapons.
now instead of having one kind of hud icons, one kind of g_models and one kind of v_models, i have the same for all. that's nice.
even if i have to say the shotgun is fugly.

a better fps.qwd would probably be 32 bots on dm2dmm4 for 1-2 minutes

personally i think fps.qwd is one of the worst benchmark demos in existence. why? it has polyblend, plenty of ppl, plenty of firing rockets.... and i have the v_weapon models for consistency, as i've probably already mentioned. you pick up one weapon - you get a different weapon equipped. this sucks more than the current v_weapons. still, i would prefer the debug models of sg ssg and rl and maintain the others keep it up! never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

could be 64. I think its realistic to have 7 guys firing on your line of sight at the same time. exagerated but realistic. but 32? thats utopic imho anyway, in lack of a "better" one, i gladly use fps.qwd to benchmark never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

u'll need a map called frobodm2 http://www.quakeworld.ru/dl. ?id=42 bots cant handle moving platforms well, so someone created this exact copy of dm2 for frogbots never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

the realistic part is true, you probably won't face 7+ enemies at the same time.
but the demo is recorded with awful rate/fps, so a better one could easily be produced

this is a comparison between the current weapons in nquake (made by plagued monkeyrat) and the new md3 models made by ruohis. the thing about md3 models is that they don't look very good in ezquake, but in my opinion they still look better than the old mdl models made by plagued monkeyrat. what do you think? should I replace them now or wait for proper md3 support?

is this due to the bad md3 support or due to model issues? if the models have issues then please give input on ruohis thread. this is how they look with proper md3 support:

what are the md3 issues anyway? pictures look fine to me. i'd vote for the ruhois models except for ng/sng. ng's both look good to me, sng i like monkeyrat's one even better.

well, most of the time i add stuff i find nice myself this time i had a hard time deciding since the md3 support is so bad, so i can't decide for myself i want to include all of either pack, so it's not "sg from ruohis, rest from plague" or anything, it's either ruohis or plague - for consistency.

i wouldn't describe a mix of, say, Plague's weapons plus Ruhois' shotguns as inconsistent. at least not visually inconsistent, dunno about the technical details. if it has to be one my vote goes for Ruohis.

i really like the hud gfx moon did
but i don't like the fact that only consize 320x240 looks good, and that cl_sbar makes the screen so much smaller. it's like you need a 24" lcd to be able to play.
i'd love to include most of his hud items if they didn't have that background though.

That's really hard to choose between the two, the feeling is not the same, and that matches differently with the weapons, making some better, and others not... but, I'd say go for the ruohis's work.
I agree Primevil work needs to be included.

emp: i'll add sb_oldmanhud (cl_sbar 2 and cl_sbar 3) from zquake to ezquake 1.9 so you can use that in the future
