Hello everybody.
I really dont get my quake running stable on 77fps. The problem mainly occurs, when i come out of a teleport and make a strafejump. Then the fpsrate drops below 70. It also occurs in other situations, but more random. It happens mainly when i strafejump and often when I am in an short distance fight with lots of rockets.
My System: Athlon 2800, Nvidia GeForce4MX 460, 1GB RAM
I deactivated everything in the services.msc like Def explained it in his thread. I also closed all unnecessary processes in the taskmanager (leaving between 13 and 14 running) I tried Ezquake 1.8 and 1517 with all 3 variations of sys_highpriority. I loaded fast presettings and lowest quality. Nothing. I run Quake with a resolution of 800x600 with 16bits. But even 640x480 doesnt make a difference. I had my config and my cmd line checked by a friend and he couldnt find an error that would cause this problem neither. It doesnt matter if I set maxfps to 50, 90, 120. It is always the same problem.
