im using ezquake, and when i watch demos and others playing on a qw server, when they use lg and as usual miss the enemy, the bolt hits a wall then you see lots of blue/white but mainly blue sparks flying all over the place, i've tried and tried to find the cmd to enable the sparks, but havent had any luck....... im using the blue particleshaft
when i tried ezquake a while ago, the sparks were there when my lg bolt hit a surface, but i started using fuhquake again at that time

now im back using ezquake, i have no lovely eye candy sparks sniff

if any of you lot know the cmd to enable the sparks, could you please tell me ?

You're thinking about gl_lightning_sparks. Only works when speccing/watching demo tho'. Not available in game.

oh right well thanks for clearing this up, they musta decided against it on later version/s of ezquake, cos ages ago you could see the spark ingame, cheers

any reason this isn't available anymore? someone decided it's 'cheating' i suppose?

Yea, you are able to estimate the length of the shaft better
