Hi,
My ezq crashes to desktop everytime I try to play a .mvd so now I'm using fuhquake to play them instead. I'm running it in 1680x1050 but the console/hud appears stretched. Does it have something equivalent to ezq's vid_conwidth vid_conheight command to make the characters appear proportional in widescreen resolutions?

What version of ezQuake are you using and on what operating system ?
IIRC fuhquake supports conwidth and conheight as switches on the command line.

But isn't zquake even older than fuhquake?
I'm using ezq-gl 1.9 build 2253 on winxp sp3. Whenever I try to run a .mvd it crashes to the desktop with a 'sorry ezqgl.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' error. .Dem files work perfectly fine.
The command line switches for fuhquake worked. Thanks.

First could you try using http://ezquake.sf.net/nightly <-- the latest build from there, and see if you get the same error? Also, does this apply to ALL mvds? Does it also happen after you do a cfg_reset?

Tried the latest build 2401 and got the same error. It happens with every .mvd I throw at it, but .dem and .qwd files work fine. After a cfg_reset, still the same thing. Tried it again with 2253 and got the same results.

I installed ezquake in a fresh directory and the .mvd's work so it looks like some custom files in my directory is causing the conflict. :/ If I find out what it is I'll post it here.
