I'm having these annoying crashes in-game. Before I had a Geforce and everyting was fine, now I'm with Radeon HD4870 and all the shit began happening.
As it says in the topic, I'm on Windows 7 and running ezquake. I've installed Catalyst 9.7. I'm positive it's not a heat-issue.
Please help.

I am running Windows 7 with a 4890 and i am using the driver that came with windows update. Ezquake runs perfectly without any issues. Tried default config?

I'm having XP , HD4650 and problems with Ezquake. ATI don't support Ezquake or Ezquake don't support ATI

I'm on windows 7 x64 with CCC 9.9 using a HD4870 and i have no problems whatsoever. Had to turn off desktop composition to play in windowed mode, but that's about it.

With so many Radeon owners having problems there must be some deeper issue that we overlook. Perhaps a combination with older motherboard chipsets that makes the card unstable... Yes, I'm reaching...
