helmet shoulderpads gloves boots
are not detailed enough, they look totally out of place. the boots should also be a lot dirtier (imagine running over corpses and shooting rockets at the ground just by your feet!)

I presume you're talking about the textures, not the shape of the objects. I agree that the shoulder pads could be more detailed - perhaps simply giving them a darker hue would improve the look - and the boots could do with a more gritty look. But the gloves look fine (although they'd look better if they were a little darker). All in all, these things won't matter much ingame, since you're unlikely to find people standing still long enough for you to examine their gloves closer. Teamplay is nothing. Aim is everything. i tried the player model in ezquake.. model gets shown, but the player_skin.png (placed in textures?) aint shown.. :/ just a white model with black shaded back..
what have i done wrong?

for ezquake i put the textures in the progs dir and for fte progs and textures under id1. Ok, this works for ezQuake: Quake\qw\progs \player.MD3 \player_skin.tga \player_skin_pants.tga \player_skin_shirt.tga \pgun.tga okay.. i dumbass read back :b works now but is normal that the backs of the models are almost totally black shaded? http://www.egozelle.com/stuff/player.jpg

As a guess try using gl_nocolors "1" or is it cl_nocolors.

he did more than many have done in the whole 10 years quake has been out, let him have his brake, work that hard and you burn out your inspiration and new ideas... you need a bit of time to reset and get going again... this i know
