It's not the cryptic "message" command? I think you can set it to 0, 1, 2 or maybe even 3. :} Couldn't find it in the ezQuake manual though, so maybe i dreamt it...

Ake probably means the /msg command. Last time I tried it wasn't possible to suppress this message without also suppressing the frag messages. It would be ideal to have this fixed on the server - so that the server considers this message level 0, same as "you picked up 5 rockets", so that you can turn it off with /msg 1 (what lots of players use, maybe majority).

Best practice is to add " 2 1" to the end of all your weapon binds so that it always finds a weapon to fire.
