Hi, I want 5-6 maps for FFA, should be simple for beginners with hard to camp weapons and less armor so more experience players die alot!
Time?
no clue, lets not have a time limit and just try to get the best map instead regardless how long time it takes

got any suggestions now, welcome to put them forward.

PS. we need some really eyecandy shit for the maps aswell so we can have them in fQuake

four.bsp by Drako (who also made the popular map park and hipark, amongst many many others) would be a great ffa map. I'll try to link

We've been playing dm7 for a while now
Joulukuu seems to dislike it but I'd go for it!

dm7 was original quake1 map that didn't make it into final release

if i remember correctly it was released later as a seperate download with the tagline 'this has been kicking around for ages'

If this is something to bring new players into qw, it would be an idea to keep some "regular" maps in (dm2,3,4,ztn,aero etc.) to give them some knowledge of them for when they move onto tdm/1on1 etc.

Ukcldm2, as much as I love it, is one of the ugliest maps in QW, probably second only to mannydm1.bsp, and may not be such a great advert for the game .

Also it wasn't said how many players would be on at a time. Some of the smaller maps would be nice and tight and fun with 4-6 players, and would be easier to learn too, but more than that and it gets a bit hectic. I think newbies would get a bit disillusioned of dying within 1 second of spawning all the time.

Also, rasv3 is an great ffa map, and there's always comedy hohoho option.
