Ok, the time has come for another 1on1 league! This time it's aMoreGaming who stands for the fun. It will be a 1on1 league, TB3, which means it's only the DM2, DM4 & DM6 maps which is going to be played. There will be two leagues, one European and one American. This is the European one and it will be played on European servers by European players. The registration will open Saturday the 29th April -06, and will be open for 2weeks, until the 13th May -06.

This league will have TWO divisons. There will be one division for the majority of the players, which means the skilled ones, called 'Regular amore Divison'. We will have another division aswell, 'Beginner aMore division' and it will be for players who have played for 3months or less. We don't want any fakenicking since we want to see more people play QuakeWorld, and therefore we are giving them a chance to play against players in their own skill.

Rules will come ASAP, we are currently deciding some things that have been discussed in other leagues

The reason this Euro division wants to do TB3 is because that way the new players will be able to concentrate on learning one or two maps, instead of three or four! Of course, I am sure the admins are fully aware that listening to the community is very important. So maybe they will do TB5 for the "regular" euro group. On the other hand, I don't see why even the elite players should not be restricted to 2,4,6 It would definitely be a nice way to "go back to the root" especially for elites!

On the N.A. side, I am pretty sure we will do TB5, unless a big turnout of new player appears, like it has in Europe...

I reckon you'll lose more players from not including Aero&ZTN3 than you would if you included them.

I'm sure all these "new" players in some way are familiar with Aerowalk and ZTNDM3 too though. Those two maps have been played alot in Q3 for example and shouldn't be that hard to relearn in QW. I know that some players thinks QW sucks because it has the same maps over and over again. Narrowing map options down to dm2, dm4 and dm6 again won't make it any easier to get them here.

Btw, you'll learn the basic setup of a level in like 30 minutes. It's not like any of those newcomers will do wonders on any map just because they have two less of them to practice on.

I'd vote for aer, dm6 and ztn since they have no lava ; )

It's sound logic for "Beginner's Division", but for "Regular amore Divison" it's totally useless, coz every1 there knowing ztn/aero. Create a poll and stop killing QW with tb3-thing ever

Why not usually system with throwing maps? (suit better for tb5)
So it's kind of random here What if 2 players don't like "assigned decider map"?
And how long tourney will be playing? (shouldn't much activity in summer time)

Yeah that's a bit of a silly rule. Why not use the tried-and-tested (and successful!) elimination method?
