www.quakeworld.pl - Poland reborn
At the very beginning of the year, almost everyone announced the demise of Polish QuakeWorld. Many clans disbanded, players quit QW for inactivity and real-life reasons, servers were devoid of gibbage - just to get a 2/2 match-up going, you had to call your friends via sms or other messengers. Idleness, inertia and lack of newcomers simply denoted that Polish QW hung by a thread.
It was 10th of April 2009 when Avenger decided to alter the course of events. Having purchased the domain name qw.nets.pl and a server, he founded the first genuine QW site for the Polish community. Since all the old sites and links have been dead almost for a decade and with the Polish community forum as its only symbol of existence, the then qw.nets.pl site was what an average Polish QW player really needed.

The dawn of the site was quite disencouraging - Avenger had a couple of really hard nuts to crack: to get a news translator, a graphics designer, a news writer - to mention just a few. And to overcome the attitude of some omnipresent naggers . But what do we have after 6 months? Well, it's not that bad. We successfully carried out the first duel competition Duelnets (1. RunningWild/Bravo, 2. Tom of Fusion Clan, 3. Szu of Demolition Crew Clan) with some humble prizes, the povdmm4 edition of Duelnets draws to a close. In future, we plan to organize a big QW.PL Open Tournament with all you guys invited . We visited a Polish LAN Party at the PHC headquarters (a well-known and old clan here). We intend to organize one-day-events, a DM2 one-day tourney for example. We render blogs for all Polish QW Clans available (Revolution, the dissolved Triada and Demolition Crew already there), we provide tutelage for newbies (some of the materials taken from qw.nu always giving you guys credit), we have Frag-of-the-Month contests. The result? The QW scene is slowly raising from decline: we now have 3 active clans (all signed up for the EQL), our star players are recognizable in European servers, some people are already back to QW, there is fresh blood in the Polish scene, our main Aster servers are very often full, thumping with pracs/mixes and the like - therefore, we plan to proclaim them to your QTV project.

And recently, we have changed our domain name and server for quakeworld.pl to make it more obvious. And perhaps, just perhaps, make the site bilingual in future

The administrative crew consists of Avenger (admin@quakeworld.pl), Fluartity (fluartity@quakeworld.pl) and me, Kapitan Kloze (air@quakeworld.pl). You can find us at #qw.pl and please visit the site from time to time.

We also like to thank your site for it has always been our inspiration. See you in EQL during ever-lasting feast of bloodthirsty gibbage.

polski klanu nie wygral e1m2 8)

(super hot polska knowledge, not using online translator but instead just picking words from what i have seen in-game)
2009-10-15, 10:22
polski klan nigdy wygrywa na e1m2

hehe close but no cigar?

both sentences are grammatically correct , the first is in the past or present perfect (it depends), the second in present simple tense.

"Ale zwykle wygrywamy na dm2!" - guess that
2009-10-15, 12:23
hehe, something with dm2 atleast

an educated guess would be that: "we always win on dm2"
2009-10-15, 12:49
we USUALLY win on dm2
2009-10-15, 13:38
hah!
