While the European community is still in its summer slumber, the Australian and North American communities are full of busy bees. The last initiative on the North American scene is a 2on2 tournament called
Stronger Than All and it's hosted by
Darin.
Currently there are
16 teams signed up and the signups close at the 28th of August. The teams will battle it out on the maps DM2, DM4, DM6, ZTNDM3, Aerowalk and A2 according to
the rules.
If European teams are interested in participating, then that's ok according to tournament administrator (but one would assume you'll have to expect ping disadvantage).
"If a decider map is needed whoever picked last, toss first"
With a 6 map pool, how does that work? After both teams toss a map, you still have 2 left in the pool. I guess the only way to make it fair would be to cmd rnd between the two remaining maps.
