Clan 9 was a legendary clan in its time, they dominated the Swedish Quake scene from 1996 to the release of Quake 3 Arena (1999).

History

By the sponsoring from Café Nine in Stockholm, Clan 9 was one of the clans with best conditions. The sponsoring came with a change of name. Clan 9 was originally named Up Your Backpack (UYB), with players as Paralyzer, Xenon, Nikodemus, Spice, oKKun, Sniket, Liquid, Frisket and later on DOOMer from their worst competitor Teddy Bears.

In the year of 1998 one decided to name the worlds best Quake clan and scheduled a title-game versus Americas best clan Death Row.
