The Vicious Vikings was originally formed by a group of Norwegians, led by [[BM]]. The core members grew up in the same neighborhood, and had been playing Quake via LAN since the test-release. When they heard about the Quake clans, they decided to make their own, as there were very few Scandinavian clans at that time. According to the old web page, The Vicious Vikings attacked «without fear and with brute force». Eventually, several non-Norwegian player joined the clan. The infamous AskerLANs were arranged by The Vicious Vikings in Asker, Norway.
