A demo is a QuakeWorld match recorded and saved locally as a file (mvd/qwd/qwz). You play a demo by using the command
/playdemo <demoname>
.
To record a demo type /demo <demoname>
At the most of today's servers demos are auto-recorded and can be downloaded from the server by typing /cmd dl <number>
where number represents the number the demo has in the demolist which is display by using the command /cmd dlist
.
