History of stronghold:
Stronghold is modeled after the original Unreal Tournament map, dm_chill. The base of the map is formed by a Blender import of the original map. The first versions of the map were very close to the original, but it quickly became apparent in the early beta phase that the rather open original map would not suit the gameplay of QuakeWorld. Additionally, there were extreme FPS issues. During the mapping process, the mapper was contacted by Link, who then became a close companion and advisor in the design process.
As the map increasingly diverged from the original in later versions, the mapper decided to change its name to stronghold_TDM. From this point, some confusion began regarding the map’s name. Stronghold_TDM initially garnered little enthusiasm from the QuakeWorld community; it was too large, sprawling, complicated, and still had FPS stability issues. Kwon decided to fundamentally change the map again, focusing especially on the mentioned points of criticism. The final version was simply to be called stronghold. In this version, for example, the path from the YA bridge to the GA room was completely closed off, and there were two double teleporters. The feedback was mixed. A major issue was the immense confusion caused by the teleporters and the FPS stability.
Once again, the mapper decided to address the QuakeWorld community’s criticisms and improve the map. The new version was named stronghold_final. The emphasis was on "FINAL," but thankfully, this wasn’t the end. Stronghold_final was played in the EQL cup 2 and was met with greater enthusiasm than stronghold_TDM or the earlier stronghold version. After the tournament, the mapper received a lot of feedback, which led him to change the map one last time. For example, the map was further reduced in size, the viewing angles were limited, the spawn points were revised and marked, and the ring powerup was added. The removal of the Shambler and Ranger statues contributed to a massive FPS boost, reducing the compile time from an incredible 15 hours to 5 minutes. With this version, the confusion around the name should now be resolved and come to an end. The final version is now once again called stronghold and will absolutely not be revised again.

Be at the right time in the center of the map and use the mega health teleporter near GA-room to access pent fast.
