Welcome to Quakeworld and one of Quake's most legendary map: dm2. This is the third tournament in its kind, and the the successor to DM4 DUEL TOURNAMENT and DM6 DUEL TOURNAMENT. It will be a dm2 only duel tournament where the king of dm2 in 2024/25 is crowned. It's been a long time since the last 2 tours, but here we finally are. Aerowalk Duel Tournament will launch sometime after the dm2 tour.

Signup

Signup by PM'ing Link on discord or in the discord channel #dm2-duel (or both). The tournament starts November, or before if we get enough signups. It should end sometime January.

Fakenickers will be burned alive and quartered, but we all play for fun so lets keep it that way. This will be an European tournament with servers in Europe.

Format

Groupstage
- 32 players (qualifiers or more groups if we get more)
- 4 players each group. The top 2 players in each group goes to Division 1, the bottom 2 goes to Division 2.
- Players will be seeded into 2 seeding pots and 2 players from each of the 2 seeding pots will be drawn into a group of 4.
Divisions
- 16 players - 4 groups 4 players each group
- The top 2 players in each group goes to Playoff A (quarterfinals) and the bottom 2 goes to Playoff B (quarterfinals).

The 32 entry players will get a minimum of 7 games each. 9 if you win your quarterfinal.

Rules

All games are BO5.
Settings: Standard settings by typing "/1on1" | To add match tag type "dm2 duel"
Pause rules: Each player is allowed one pause per match, once you have used a pause and use it again, you have forfeited the map.
WO's on maps/games are accepted as long as both players agree to such (skill gaps can be huge in groupgames).
Ping rules: Find a server that keeps both players around the same ping +/- 13ms, if no such server can be found, the lowest ping player will have to use cl_delay_packet to get closer to the higher ping player. If there's a dispute in what server should be used, contact admin in discord.
Client: ezQuake 3.6.x. For your own sake, update your client!
